Magic of Lights – Springwater Provincial Park (Nov 21 – Jan 3)
Few things beat the cozy magic of a drive-through light display in the heart of winter. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Magic of Lights, returning to Springwater Provincial Park from November 21 through January 3.
Piling the family into the car with holiday tunes on the radio, you’ll wind through a glowing trail of animated displays, themed tunnels, and brilliant arches. Highlights include the Reindeer Rest Stop, oversized candy canes, and enchanting winter scenes that stretch over a mile.

At 7:00 PM, families gather with real candles (provided by the BIA) at Mississaga St & Front St, then follow the Orillia Fire Service along a twinkling route to the Opera House, where a grand Christmas tree lighting awaits.

While technically in December, we’d be remiss not to mention one of Barrie’s best charity traditions — the Fred Grant Squares Rock n’ Roll Matinee.
On Saturday, December 6 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, The Queens Hometown Pub & Grill in downtown Barrie comes alive with classic rock, local bands, and big-hearted generosity.
Entry is free, but guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or make a monetary donation to Barrie & District Christmas Cheer, supporting local families during the holidays.
