Enchanted Holiday Forest of Lights
This December, something extraordinary is glowing just outside Barrie. Drysdale’s Tree Farm is hosting an unforgettable holiday experience: the Enchanted Holiday Forest of Lights, presented by Enchanta. Held for two weekends only — on November 28–29 and December 5–6, 2025 — this limited-time evening event is unlike anything else in Simcoe County.
It features illuminated forest trails, horse-drawn wagon rides, cozy fire pits, live music, festive food, and a bustling holiday greenhouse night market. This is an exclusive, ticketed event taking place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, separate from the farm’s regular daytime Christmas festivities.

What’s the Difference? Enchanted Forest vs. Christmas Village
There are two separate holiday experiences to enjoy at Drysdale’s:
- The Enchanted Holiday Forest of Lights is a nighttime ticketed event running for only two weekends. Guests are treated to a wagon ride into a glowing forest, live music, food, marshmallows by the fire, and a VIP-style night market inside the greenhouse.
Tickets are required in advance. - The Christmas Village at Drysdale’s is a free daytime experience that runs every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, now until December 21, 2025. Visitors can enjoy cutting their own tree, visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus, shopping, and more festive farm fun.
Admission and parking are free during the day.
You can attend both. Spend the day exploring the farm, cutting your tree, and seeing Santa. Then return at night to experience the enchanted forest come to life.
Welcome to a Holiday Fairytale in Simcoe County
Set in Egbert, Ontario, just a short drive from Barrie, Drysdale’s Tree Farm has been bringing holiday cheer to families since 1945. Known for its classic tree-cutting experience, the farm is now expanding into immersive storytelling through lights and music.
Whether you’re a returning visitor or discovering the farm for the first time, this year’s events bring something new and unforgettable to the region.

The Forest Experience Begins at Twilight
As darkness falls at 6:00 PM, guests board a traditional horse-drawn wagon, clip-clopping toward a magical forest. There, trails shimmer with light installations, art displays, and quiet moments of wonder that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a winter fairytale.
Every detail is curated by Enchanta, an organization known for designing story-driven experiences with fantasy elements and emotional impact.
Two Weekends Only: November 28–29 and December 5–6
The Enchanted Holiday Forest of Lights is only available for four nights total. This limited-time event adds to the exclusivity, and it is highly recommended to book tickets well in advance. Onsite ticket sales are not available.
Warm Fires, Marshmallows, and Music
Once you complete the trail, guests gather around outdoor fire pits with free marshmallows to roast. Local food vendors offer seasonal treats and warm drinks. For adults, there is a fully licensed bar with mulled wine and holiday cocktails.
The glow of the fire, live music, and twinkling lights create a one-of-a-kind ambiance for both families and couples.

VIP Greenhouse Night Market
Only ticket holders are granted entry to the festive Holiday Greenhouse. Inside, guests discover a warm, lively space filled with holiday shopping, artisan vendors, festive food, and live music.
It’s like walking through a scene from a Christmas movie, complete with string lights, cozy seating, and holiday spirit in every corner.
Local Music in a Cozy Setting
Throughout the evening, musicians perform holiday classics and acoustic favorites that bring a sense of calm and celebration. Sip a drink, shop local, or sit back and enjoy the music while surrounded by rustic holiday décor.
